Eye patches before or after serum?

The short answer for pep patch is before serum. Our usage directions begin with clean, dry under-eye skin. That gives the mask a clear surface rather than a layer of oil, moisturiser or wet serum to slide around on. Other patch formats can have different instructions, so do not assume this order applies to every reusable mask or every manufacturer's formula.

Why more product underneath is not automatically better

A pre-soaked mask already brings its own formula. Adding a second serum beneath it does not create a measured double dose or prove better results. It also makes troubleshooting harder: if the area stings or the patch slips, you now have two products to consider. Use the mask as directed rather than improvising a cocktail beneath it.

What to do after removing the patches

1. Remove the masks at the instructed time; stop earlier if uncomfortable.
2. Gently pat in the remaining essence without rubbing toward the eye.
3. If using a serum, check that its label allows use in that area.
4. Continue with suitable moisturiser and, during the day, sunscreen.

You can skip a separate under-eye serum if you do not need it. A shorter routine is still a complete routine. If layers pill beneath makeup, reduce the number of products and let each settle instead of extending patch wear or piling on extra essence.

Active serums deserve their own decision

A facial exfoliant or retinoid is not automatically an eye-area product. Check the manufacturer's placement instructions and avoid covering it with a patch unless that combination is explicitly supported. For prescribed skincare, ask the prescriber how eye-area cosmetics fit into your treatment. An ingredient's popularity is not a compatibility test.
