For pep patch, the straightforward sequence is shower or wash, gently dry your face, then apply the masks. Our directions specify clean, dry skin. Wearing patches in running water changes those conditions and makes slipping more likely. You do not need steam or heat to prepare the under-eye area for the product.
Dry skin here means surface-dry
When our instructions say dry skin, they mean a face without water or a fresh layer of slippery product on its surface. They do not mean you should strip the skin or keep cleansing until it feels tight. Pat with a clean towel and avoid rubbing the thin skin around the eyes. If washing leaves you sore or uncomfortable, address the washing routine before adding a mask.
Skip the extra heat
The American Academy of Dermatology recommends warm rather than hot water for dry skin. A steamy bathroom is not evidence of better ingredient delivery. Do not heat the masks, hold your face over boiling water or extend the wear time to make the session feel more intensive. Follow the product's directions without adding a home-made treatment.
A routine that does not fight the shower
- Complete your shower and facial cleansing first.
- Dry your hands and face gently.
- Open the sachet when you are ready to use the pair.
- Apply below the eyes and follow the instructed wear time.
- Remove, pat in remaining essence, and continue your skincare.
If your preferred evening routine already works, keep it. Patches do not have to become a morning obligation. The useful constraint is clean, dry, comfortable skin and correct use—not a particular hour on the clock.
If the masks keep moving
Check for surface water, oils or cream beneath them. Do not try to solve movement by pushing a patch onto the eyelid or lash line. A mask belongs below the eye, and discomfort is a reason to remove it. If you cannot comfortably keep it in position, stop the session.
frequently asked
- Can I use eye patches in the shower?
- Use pep patch outside the shower on clean, dry skin. Running water and wet skin are not the conditions in its usage instructions.
- Does steam make patches work better?
- We have no evidence for that claim. Do not add heat or steam to the product's directed use.
