If your workout ends just before your morning skincare, patches can fit afterwards. The important word is afterwards: apply pep patch to clean, dry skin, not on top of sweat, sunscreen or makeup. Keeping a mask on through a workout is not part of our usage directions, and a slippery patch is not a reason to press harder or move it closer to the eye.
Wash up before you open the sachet
The American Academy of Dermatology recommends washing your face after heavy sweating and avoiding scrubbing. Choose a gentle cleanser appropriate for your skin and dry with a clean towel. Clean your hands too, so you are not handling a fresh mask immediately after touching gym equipment. If your skin is stinging, chafed or irritated, skip optional cosmetics rather than trying to cool it with a patch.
A practical post-workout sequence
- Finish your workout and shower or cleanse as needed.
- Gently dry the face and wash your hands.
- Apply the masks below the eyes on comfortable, intact skin.
- Follow the pack's wear time, then remove and discard the pair.
- Continue with suitable moisturiser and sunscreen before heading outdoors.
There is no required waiting period measured in minutes after exercise. What matters is the condition of your skin and whether you can follow the product directions. If you are still sweating heavily or need to rush out immediately, leave patches for a different time. Optional skincare should not make a workable routine awkward.
What the patch is not doing
A cosmetic mask does not replace hydration, rest or medical care after exercise. We do not claim it treats swelling, inflammation or exercise-related skin problems. Its place here is simply a short eye-area skincare step on skin that is clean and comfortable.
frequently asked
- Can I wear eye patches while working out?
- That is not part of pep patch's instructions. Use them afterwards on clean, dry skin instead.
- Should I patch over the sunscreen I wore for my run?
- No. Begin with clean, dry skin and apply sunscreen again afterwards according to its label before further outdoor exposure.
